ACWA staff have worked hard over the last couple of days restoring water service to the affected areas because of Monday's piping failure near our water treatment plant. As of this morning the system is gaining capacity near its usual levels. The boil water advisory is still in place as a precaution until we complete all our water quality sampling procedures. We expect this process to be completed today July 3rd. If you are experiencing air or discolored water in your water service lines, please run your faucets for a few minutes and it should return to normal quickly and remove what may be trapped in your service line. ACWA traditionally observes July 3rd & 4th for the Fourth of July which means the business office is closed. However, on call operations personnel are working which is required to provide water and sewer services. If you are experiencing water or sewer service which you describe as an emergency (a loss of service) or a water main break, please call our office at (865) 457-3033 and the answering service will forward your concern to our on-call staff. Please keep all calls limited to those that are reporting emergencies so our staff can prioritize their work over the holiday weekend. If you have non-emergency concerns which can wait till next week to be addressed, then please feel free to email our customer service using our link shown on the Contact Us page or call our business office Monday between 8am – 4pm. We thank you again for your patience over the last several days.
