Current Projects

Andersonville Projects

ACWA is nearing completion of a project that will provide a secondary water supply to areas of the Andersonville community during water main breaks. The project consists of installing 600 feet of 6" pipe to connect water main segments that will provide water to the residents past Lambdin Road when breaks occur on Andersonville Highway where older pipes exist.

ACWA is pursuing the project of upgrading the water main from Norris Freeway to Andersonville by upgrading the existing watermain with a larger diameter pipe of ductile iron material to provide ample water volume to sustain future growth in that region.

GIS Project

ACWA is beginning a project to collect detailed information of both the water and sewer distribution systems. This information will provide accurate measurements to water meters, valves, hydrants, water mains, sewer manholes and other system features. This project will provide greater ability to analyze our systems and provide the ability to increase the efficiency of our operations.

Longmire Road Water Main Replacement

ACWA is planning to begin a water main replacement on Longmire Road from Lake City Highway to Shaw Ln. This aging water main has experienced a growing number of leaks and the replacement will help prevent us from disrupting traffic as much to repair leaks and ensure better water service reliability.
